Hogmanay Festival - Edinburgh, Scotland

Taking place in Edinburgh, Hogmanay is a famous New Year’s Event that lasts a total of three-days and attracts visitors from all over the world. Starting on the 30th, thousands come together to carry torches from Parliament Square to Calton Hill before an impressive fireworks display. Then on New Year’s Eve you can take part in largest rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ in the world. With ceilidhs (Scottish dances) and live music galore, there is nowhere quite like Edinburgh.

 

Secret & Themed Parties - London

London is filled with various celebrations to attend and choose from; many with quirky themes or a top secret location, only revealed just before the event. On the day of the 31st, Berlin residents and tourists come together to celebrate the Berliner Silvesterlauf, Berlin's annual pancake race in the Grunewald neighbourhood. Rocking all kinds of fancy dress, participants flip pancakes around various routs before a party at Brandenburg Gate in the evening.
